On June 5, Kathleen Morgan, MS, RN, CNE, faculty program director, Excelsior College School of Nursing, was honored with a Distinguished Member award by the NY Capital District Nurses Association (District 9) at an event at the Century House in Latham, New York.
The prestigious Distinguished Member Award is bestowed upon members whom have excelled in their service to the District. Morgan was recognized for her work to keep the District financially sound, her willingness to go above and beyond in service to the District, and her commitment to excellence.
“Historically, this is a prestigious award, so it was both surprising and overwhelming to learn I would be recognized,” said Morgan. “My contributions have just been part of a team effort that has helped this organization be of increasing value to our members.”
Morgan has been a member of the Capital District Nurses Association for approximately 20 years. During that time she has served as a board member and on the Educational and Scholarship committees. For the past four years, Morgan has served as the District’s treasurer.
